IES Lumen West Award, 2021
For this members' hotel and spa resort on Tokyo Bay, GA worked with Japanese practice Kanko Kikaku Sekkeisha (KKS Group) on a lighting scheme of unusual discipline: precise vertical illumination, water treated as a mirror, and a strict ceiling of brightness that keeps the bay view primary.
The project earned the IES Lumen West Award in 2021 – one of two GA schemes recognized that year.
